Hydraulic saw

This is a well built hydraulic saw that could be built or adapted to the Pt. It also swings left and right using a hydraulic cylinder. This would save wear and tear on the steering system.

yeah, but you really need that full roll cage with wire mesh, cause odds are the first tree that you swipe with that sucker is going to come crashing down on top of you.

Wouldn't that be fun?

I am assuming that who ever is using this saw, knows how to cut a tree. I am not suggesting that someone try and cut a 100 ft tree with a 60 in base. Use what ever skills you have to get the job done. Think positive.

I could use something like that last week when I had to cut through some sapling with vines and prickers , must weigh alot .

I was just thinking about one of those things the other day. It wouldn't be 2 hard to build one...maybe a little lighter, just for up to 6" or so diameter.

Hydraulic motor to run the blade, some sort of spring tension to pull the blade into the tree, hydraulic cyc. to pull the "mouth" open.

2" or 3" sq. tubing for frame work.

Bill, Thanks for posting the manufacturer. As I scan the Internet, I just copy all the interesting tools that I see, hoping that someday, I can make something similar.
