Does it matter if you put the tilt cylinder on the left or right side? I was always of the mind to put it on the right. That was where the factory put the manual one and all of them I have seen are on the right. The reason I ask is on my Gr L6060 cab the power beyond is on the right. It will have to be moved some to make room for the tilt cylinder. Both rear hydro links are on the right, but there is nothing on the left side. It looks like there is plenty of room to mount the tilt cylinder on the left with no hassle. Won't I have the same tilt abilities on either side? Is there something I don't know or have not thought of.

It will work either way. If you move from right to left you will have to swap the hoses in the couplers to maintain the same direction of tilt with the same lever action. Most tractors have a manual leveling box on the right lift link. You get to retain that if the hydraulic tilt is mounted on the left. If the upper mount of the hydraulic life cylinder is asymmetrical the hose ports will have to be 180 degrees different when the link is mounted on the left than they would be if installed on the right.

The standard is the right side. It’s the side the controls are on and thus the side you typically turn when looking back. Since you turn right it makes since to have it on the right so you can see it.
Typically the hydraulic connections are on the right too.

Most operator’s will look at the implement, not the cylinder.

The only real difference for your L6060 will be the hose kit if it came with one. You need longer hoses with 90s at the couplers.

I know the thread is a few days old but try putting the hydraulic on the right and move the existing manual over to the left. Reversing it if needed. Point is that you paid for the manual adjustment and its still of use installed. Very useful set up.

I would either put it on the left or do as Okie says, remove the manual adjustment from the right and put it on the left side, then install the hydraulic cylinder on the right. That way you have additional adjustment if needed.

That's what I did & I believe FitRite Hydraulics recomends.
You measure the hydraulic cylinder max extension, then set it half way out. Manually adjust the manual link so that the 3pt is now level. That way you get equal tilt to both sides instead a lot of tilt only to one side.
