hydraulic top link length

okay, been scouring the search archives and haven't found anything conclusive. I want, need, have to have a hyd toplink for my TC40DA, and need to know the proper length to get. I am 500 miles from my tractor right now, so I can't just measure it myself. Thought I would ask before I start sneaking around the local dealership with a tape measure. I have found a couple 21"-32" with check valve, I am guessing it would be close enough and def. not to short. I could always add Pat's easy hitch doo-hicky to make my lower links longer, or can I with the super deluxe three point lower arms?

I think your tractor's toplink is about 19" long. If you want a hydraulic toplink check out this link.

Carter & Carter

Get their toplink that goes from 18 to 26 inches (the mid-sized one). You'll be thrilled with its performance. Also, get the hose kit from them. It will make it a half-hour job at most.

Every time I call them, they never have what I want in stock (the 18"-26" hyd link) They are always arriving in "a couple weeks" /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif They do look quality, and they are very nice, but I never seem to be able to get em when they have one ready to go out the door. The reason I ask, 5 Hyd top links on Ebay right now 21-32" models. (Dont everybody go buy em and leave me still crankin my manual link ok /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Do they have double pilot check valves on the cylinders?

If not, then PASS.

In 9 out of 10 cases HTL cylinders without the check valves will leak down, some extremely fast. You will most likely be very disappointed. CCM's problem with "shipment will arrive soon" has more to do with ocean transport and customs clearance than anything else.

actually they look identical to integration engineering's offering. double pilot check valves, 4 wire hyd. hoses 3' long with pioneer valves. I bid on a couple of em, but didnt meet the reserve, Guy wants 285 with the buy it now option and 25 flat rate shipping.

I think I will keep trying C&C they have to have the one I want someday /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

CCM has the same one size wise as the one on ebay for $175. The hose kit for $30. The $285 buy it now price is more than IE was selling them for. CCM was liquidating the IE inventory at $150.

It pays to be a wise shopper as ebay is not always the best bargin out there.

I think his reserve is $175. If you search his ended auctions you can see what people have bid and what they went for.

Oh yes, I agree Ebay is sometimes a bargain, but you have to be aware. I had allready decided that C&C's toplink was going to be my benchmark for bidding. I stopped bidding at $150 because I can someday (when customs decides Hyd toplinks arent WMD's) buy one from CCI who have been very nice people. No need to pay more for something, I can get hyd hoses and fittings locally on my own time for less $$$ than $315.00.

I got a notice that the seller has reduce the reserve price. I believe it's $150 now. Really wish they had my length. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
