Hydraulic Top Link Questions

Hi guys,

I would like to add a hydraulic top link to my Ford 1210 to help with the box blade and the KK dirt scoop I want to buy in the spring.

I am pretty familiar with everything on this tractor except the hydraulic system. I have no loader or front hydraulics but there is a manifold or box on the right side that has plugs in it. I am guessing this is where you would hook up?

If someone could point me in the right direction to get rear hydraulics I would appreciate it. It seems like it would make this great little tractor even better.

I am not suggesting that you cannot be helped here, but have you checked with your dealer's service manager. I'd just give him a call and ask if remote hydraulics are available for your tractor and what they would cost. Most likely they would tell you if it is just a kit and if you could easily do it yourself. My experience has been that the fit, finish, and ease of installation on a factory OEM remote setup is hard to beat, even in price.

After you get the remote installed, my next call would be to CCM. Their toplink can't be beat.

Thanks for the tip Jim. I called my New Holland dealer today and the kit is no longer available. The original Ford kit was for dual remotes also.

I emailed Partspring to see what they might have but it looks like I may have to piece something together.

It appears fairly straight forward. Adapters to access the existing manifold, lines to a control valve, and then lines to quick disconnects in the back. What a great way to learn something new! Am I missing something? Any advice would be appreciated.

Here is something that might help you as you work on this. Go to Messicks . You will see a home page screen with several blocks. One of them says, "Parts Department" and has a picture to the left. Click on the picture. The next screen has a block that says, "Major Product Lines." Click on the New Holland emblem. The next page will have a block over to the right that lists Ag equipment or Construction equipment. Make sure the Ag equipment radio button is selected and then type in 1210 in the Model Number box and click "Search." A list will appear under the search box with your tractor and lots of other diagrams. Scroll down until you see "19SA0003 HYDRAULIC VALVE KIT, TWO SPOOL - 1110, 1210," then click on it. The next page will come up with "Parts Diagrams" and "Figure Listing" on the left. Click on "Figure Listing." It will list two figures. One is for the valve and the other is far the kit. The kit looks like my attachment below. There will also be a parts listing and prices on the right side. You said your dealer stated these were not available. Some pieces may still be available and I would check with Messicks. You might get a lot of the parts you need to finish your project.

all u need i a single spool valve and there is a block on the right side of the tractor right in fornt of the running board that has two ports that has pipe plugs in them all u need to do is screw the two hoses in it and screw them into the control valve thats all u have to do
