Those that have added the third function valve kit, would it be better to purchase the kit such as the WR Long kit (do you use all the pieces), or piece one together from different sources?

The WR Long kit worked fine on my 5030HSTC. I used the factory Kubota one for my M7040. The Kubota seems to be superior in performance. If you could go factory, I'd go factory.

I would go with the WR Long kit, you won't save that much trying to peice together your own kit if you value your time.

I used the WR Long kit. The mounting plate is matched to your tractor thus making installation very easy. The only thing you might want to do is change the hoses that go to the front. I replaced mine with shorter 1/4" hoses that had QD's. A short hose then went from the QD to the cylinder. The other nice thing about the WR Long kit is that you get the push button ball for the joystick end.

A little slow for me to respond, but thanks for the info. I only have two WR Long dealers in the area and the best price I got for the third function valve kit and the bulkhead kit, which consist of a mounting plate and quick connects is $656.43 inc tax. I hope that is a fair price because I ordered it today.

I paid $520 delivered. My WR Long dealer (a JD dealer) charged exactly what Nelson Long said was their MSRP plus shipping (no tax here in NH). Looks like your dealer made a few extra in profit.
