Like the title says i think my Hydraulic valve lever is broken, because my FEL and hitch go up at same time. I'm quite handy, but hydraulics aren´t my thing at all!

So my Hydraulic valve lever has 3 positions,
-fully to the right is neutral or nothing?
-Vertical the hitch
-Left the hitch + the loader. This isn´t very handy with a carry all on the back. Whatever i do i can only lift the FEL and the hitch up at the same time...

  1. Massey Ferguson 235 runs fine, hydraulic oil is clear, FEL is strong.
  2. My hydraulic valve lever has always been leaking a tiny bit
  3. Front end loader controls are not oil free but cant call it leaky.
  4. I consider adding a hydraulic top link so my carry all can tip.

So my question is what is likely the problem and shall i directly upgrade or can this be a easy cheap fix?

Added some additional pictures

Unfortunately, you don't really have a lot of options with that tractor. The hydraulic system in most of the early Massey's was designed primarily just to operate the three point, and not much else. At some point they added a second pump to supply flow for a multi power transmission and in some cases external hydraulic functions. Assuming your tractor was not equipped with this, you're stuck with the internal piston pump, and a diverter valve such as you have. There's probably nothing actually wrong with it, it's just that the system is limited to what you have.

Hmm not the answer i wanted to hear!
I think it should be possible, why would i be able to move the hitch separately from the loader but not the other way around?

If its really not possible can i mechanically block the hitch with a heavy chain to avoid my carry all from rising? Or would this break my hydraulic pump?

my built is 1983 (polish)

There are other diverter valves out there. Most only direct oil to the lift or the externals, not both at the same time. Typically you would place the lift controls in constant pumping to supply externals. Having the lift tied in when doing so will create problems when lift gets all the way up. You might consider a different diverter. Something like this is what I have used before.

Hi so i never got to it but im told this diverter valve should work so i tried servicing it. Many rubbers /teflon rings were half gone/broken etc.

The problem i now have is the main oil seal on the main handle. I removed the circlip (seegering) but its not coming out. The other side has a blindcap. Anyone ever serviced the original diverter valve?

The new ones are off much lower quality or EXPENSIVE.
