One of the spool valves is leaking on my melroe Bobcat 773 .
Not 100% sure but I believe it is on the end of the ant cavitation valve ?

If you are talking about the relief valve, try tighten it down some more.

Some relief valves have o-rings that can be replaced.

On the end of the tilt cylinder valve there is a cap with a small pin hole in it. I believe that is for pressure relief if something internal fails.
This is where the oils sprays out of. I have removed that cap which I think is the valve centering body. I was going to disconnect the valve from the pedal assembly and remoce the valve shaft. Any suggestions on the removal ?

Thanks, R

The weep hole in the end cap is to keep the valve spool from locking up (going into hydraulic lock) if the seal in the end of the spool starts to leak. That is either held in place by the end cap or the valve casting has a groove that it is slipped into, depends on age/design of the valve. That oil is just case oil (return oil).

Thanks Dennis. I just finished tearing it apart earlier and it is as you said. There is a bad O-ring/seal on the valve spool. Not your first rodeo !
