At 1075 hours (est) the hydraulic light on the dash went on. I changed the filter & fluid (fluid looked fine) and went on. Yesterday, at about 1100 hours, light went on again. It happened to go on RIGHT after I did an engine oil/filter change. So, I bought the $35 filter, swapped it, and nothing happened. Light is still on. Dealer says it could be the sensor. I'd like to know if it could be anything else. If not, I'll just live with the light for a while.

My understanding is that the filter/sensor are on the vacuum side. If the filter were really clogged, the hydraulics wouldn't work. Right?

Also, after some serious excavating yesterday, the bucket on our BF900 FEL is really tweaked. I'm talking the cutting edge is bent down 5" at the center, and the rear (where the FEL arm attaches) is buckled in at least 5". There's no fixing this sucker. I've googled for hours and found nothing. I'll ask my dealer tomorrow, but would like to know my other options, too. I know from experience that we need something a bit more heavy duty, but cash is really short. Any money savings right now mean a lot.

To my knowledge the L3750 has a warning light for engine oil pressure (not related to the hydraulic system). There is also a light for alternator and there was a light for the electrolyte level in the special original Kubota battery (unusual feature). If the engine oil light is coming on it could be a bad sender but it might mean low crankase oil level so the pump is pulling air. This is potentially very serious so don't run the engine if it's that light that's coming on. Check the crankcase oil level on level ground. (dipstick on left side of engine at the lower edge of the side cover). The oil pressure sender is on the same side of the engine - back in the corner above the starter. The sender is cheap and easy to replace - not worth taking a chance that the engine isn't getting oil - way too much at stake.

Any decent medium-to-heavy fab & repair shop should be able to straighten and/or replace parts of the BF900 bucket. Pull the pins and throw it in a pickup and take it aroujnd to a few places until somebody say's it looks easy. You are right those buckets are not as stiff as they could be. Finding a decent used one will be next to impossible - not that many out there and they are all getting older.
