Hydraulics on 2120

Would someone please shed some light on a bit of hydraulics. When oil flow is rated, 9.3 gpm, in this case, at what rpm is the flow rated? I would imagine the rate would be different at different rpms? For the second question: I have a log loader and trailer with an articulating pole, therefore I need two hydraulic connections. One for the loader and one for the pole. Any recomendations on how to add an other hydraulic fitting/connection( don't know the proper term) in the rear. As it is now I have only one in the rear and a setup in the front for a shovel.

The tractor brochures I have don't specify the rpm that flow is rated. I would think the rated rpm of 2500 for the engine would relate to the max hyd flow. You are right that flow varies with engine rpm (gear pump). I am confused on the hyd hookups you have. I added a single NH hydraulic valve on the rear for a log splitter and backhoe. They might offer a 2 valve setup but I'm not sure. The single was around $450 a few years back. I have a separate valve setup for the loader that is tied into the hydraulics through the distribution block near the middle of the tractor. Hope that helps.

I'm sure the hyd pump's flow is rated at 540 PTO RPM. So, whatever your engine RPM is set at would be the RPM where the pump is rated. You could exceed that flow by going to a higher RPM, but I would not recommend it. Your maximum pressure (probably 2500 psi) should be available above about 1600 RPM (no flow static pressure). I doubt you can maintain 2500 psi at the maximum pump flow of 9 gpm.

I'd suggest contacting your New Holland dealer for another remote kit that can be added to the one you already have. I believe the 2120 can support at least three rear remotes. That's the number supported by the class III and IV Boomers. I'd sure try that method before putting a mechanical diverter into an external line. Your second remote should be cheaper than the first one unless the price has gone sky-high. If you don't have a local dealer, you might contact Neil Messick at Messicks.com .
