Hydraulics on the JD 4000 Twenty series

Have asked the question before in the JD forum, but never really got an answer.

Why doesn't JD just put 3 SCVs on the back in the first place and not mess the electric diverter? Is it a cost or hydraulic issue? Does the system not have the capacity to handle 2 mid SCVs and 3 rear SCVs in use at the same time, unlike the Kubota and CHN tractors?

Most folks never use rear couplers on CUTs. With the pricing and such why buy/ sell something never used.

If you look on the tractor there isn't a lot of room for the additional block and controls. I'm adding a "6th scv" to my 4520 and it is having to go behind the seat and do it with a solenoid valve. Piggybacking the diverter saves a lot of space. Also adding the additional two controls would be a challenge. While on a cab model they can mount on the fender, on an open station tractor that could lead to bad things.

Useability. One of my main uses is running a 6 way rear blade. Having a joystick control is the way to go. If I had to do it with two standard control levers it would not work as nice, easy, or quickly. While there might be a need out there, I have never wanted to be moving the FEL at the exact same time that I want to move the rear equipment. Methinks it would require four arms. Joystick,wheel,and two on the rear rear scv The hyd system has the capacity. For constant flow uses the power beyond is indicated in any usual application.

I do think that JD could have done a better job of adding a joystick diverter control and a factory solenoid option for FEL third functions (that is what I am retrofitting now) like on the 110 TLB.
