Hi guys, I've been struggling all summer trying to get the yard torn up to regrade. I found that because I was always pushing the envelope of waiting for the ground to dry, I was either having the deflector up too high for the dry or too low for the wet and getting plugged up. I also wanted to add a hydraulic tilt to the top of our snowblower, so I bought a cylinder I can use for both, snow in winter, dirt in summer. I still haven't painted it up yet, but I also left the original chain and hook in place in the event the cylinder is busy or broken, plus I used the bottom part of the chain to hook to the cylinder to give it flexibility as the unit moves. One thing I discovered was it was super handy to drop the chute when starting off near the driveway etc to keep the dirt in and then lifting to spit more dirt out to control levels. It also works good when you pull up a root or a rock, just open up the back and it spits out, leaving the tiller in at the set depth. Now I can't wait to start putting the snow exactly where I want it.
