I have a MF 1529. The BH set up is a little weak feeling sometimes under normal use. Somebody told me that you can remove a restrictor plate from the hyd. system to make it flow better. Is that true, and if so will it more than likely over stress the hyd system. Has anybody heard of or try this before?

Sounds like someone spends too much time at the race track......:laughing:

Check first that system pressure is to factory spec...

On certain BH's, there are restrictors in certain functions to slow down the speed of operation. There is a normal flow specified by the manufacture for the BH. Either install or have someone install a pressure gage and flow meter in the circuit to verify normal operating parameters. Can your tractor provide the necessary GPM's to operate the BH?
What engine rpm are you using. Does the remote outlet for the tractor pass enough fluid? Check the relief setting for the BH.

Everything works fine as far I know or concern with BH. Just used it yesterday to dig some ditches after some heavy rains. The bucket will push up the back end of the tractor and move it around...and that's at idle speed. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the "restrictor plate". I rather take my time getting the job done, then spend time fixing my tractor. Sounds like I should not try to fix something that isn't broke.
