hydraulics won't move in cold weather

Have a 2012 kubota m 7040, first winter, stored under a building but not completely covered. Any time temp is under 15-20 tractor won't move, hydraulics won't work. Help! Makes it hard to plow snow when tractor won't work! Les than 100 hrs on it.

Does the engine run?

If the engine runs, you don't have any hyd?

If the engine runs, but no hyd, then the fluid may not be suitable for your climate.

If the fluid is marginal, and works when warm. Have you checked for water in the fluid by doing a crackle test where you heat up a spool of fluid and see it it pops or crackle.

Does the fluid look OK?

That's correct, engine runs, no hydraulics. I'm draining some fluid now and will try that. It's original fluid from dealer, SUDT. Thank you

If it has a sump filter, have you cleaned that also?

Not seeing one in the book so not sure

My sump filter is located in the hydrostat foot control pivot.

It is a long round filter.

I looked through one of the M7040 hyd sections, and only saw cartridge filters.

There are about 7 or 8 different M7040 configurations.

It's a hd-u if that helps. No sump though. Fluid was milky and crackles...I hope that's all it is! Thank you so much!!!!
