hey there I am trying to install a valve selector with selionoid on my 585 case in order to operate a hyd. top link and another cylinder at same time or one after another however I ordered the selector valve from surplus center it doesn't have instructions , can i put quick-disconnects on this thing or do i have to make short hoses to plum to tractor just looking at it I thought I could put the male end of a quick connect in the valve to tractor and then the female to the cylinders , am I half way right? You can use QD's.
I am assuming you have a FEL. If not, then there other arrangements.
Remove curl circuit from the FEL valve and connect to the selector valve C1 and C4.
Add new hose from FEL valve to P1 and P2.
Connect the other cyl to C2, and C3.
C1 and C4 now become the curl for bucket, will be the default or no voltage circuit. Circuit 1
When 12v is applied, the solenoid shifts to C2 and C3. Circuit 2
Do you have a valve to supply this valve . It is only a switching circuit.

THANKS J J I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO WIRE THE SOLENOID , THERE IS THREE PRONGS , TWO ARE ALIKE AND ONE IS DIFFERENT ,I AM THINKING THE ODD ONE IS THE GROUND AND THE TWO ALIKE ARE FOR CHANGING THE CYLINDERS I DO HAVE A FEL AND I CHANGED THE 2 SPOOL TO A 3 SO I COULD WORK A GRAPPLE AND THE JOY STICK WHEN PULLED BACK RAISES ,PUSH FORWARD IT LOWERS BUT WHEN I PULL TO THE LEFT IT SHOULD TILT UP ,IT TILTS DOWN INSTEAD ,THE GUY WHO INSTALLED IT SAYS ITS THE 3 SPOOL VALVE , I THINK ITS HOOKED UP WRONG ,WHAT SHOULD I CHANGE TO CORRECT IT OR IS THE MAN RIGHT WHO INSTALLED IT .THANKS holt50

The PDF that I posted shows the wiring diagram for the solenoid.
If the cyl does not function as you want, switch the hoses on the work ports.
A lot of people whine about typing in caps, but I don't really care as my eyes aren't as good as I want.

Can you use QD's on C1-4 and will 90/45 degree fitting restrict flow?

Yes you can do that and it will restrict flow, just a little.

I am hooking up a two spool valve to operate a snow blade on the front of my Case IH 585 and need to know the easiest place to get the hydraulic fluid to and from the new valve, from the tractor "belly". I already have the four hoses ran to the snow blade cylinders.
