Hydro 84 sat idle for about 2 years. Recently I cleaned it up and added fresh fuel and new filters. After several applications of starting fluid, it finally came to life. At first it would stall as soon as I move the lever from the "start" to "run" position, but after repeated restarts it finally stayed running at about 900-1,000 rpm. However, the throttle lever had no effect on the rpm, neither increase nor decrease.
Two weeks later, I returned for another try at starting the tractor. I anticipated going through the same procedure again. Much to my surprise, it started right up, went up to about 1000 rpm as soon as I moved to the run position, a ran very nicely at that speed. But, no more; no less.
Help will be appreciated.
