Hydro filter question

Does anyone know if WIX or Napa makes a filter replacement for the BX hydo filters and screen? I was looking at comparisons for the oil, air, and fuel, but nothing for the hydro filter.

I don't know if the BX filter has a magnet at the end to catch metal filings like the L4400 does. But the replacements for the L don't have the magnets so I use the Kubota filters with the magnets.

From what I learned it appears that the hydro/transmission filters are propriatery to each mfg.. On my JD I has the Donaldonson filter number (and the JD part #) and I could not get either to cross over to a wix or fleetguard filter.. As you found out there appear to be crosses for all the other filters though..

Does WIX or Napa have any advantage over the Kubota filters? Does anyone know what specs are set for the Kubota OEM filters?

If you go to Wix filters .com and use filter lookup you may find them. It uses drop down menus to locate each Kubota model. Once you have a filter number you can then get all the specs on the filter including micron rating.

We use Wix exclusively when possible at our City fleet where I work whenever possible. We have Kubotas, Deeres... along with patrol cars and large trucks. Never a problem.

On my personal L3400 HST I will be using geunine Kubota filters as I also use Motorcraft on my Fords and Honda on those cars. That is just my personal choice on my own vehicles.
