I am looking for a heater that will keep the hydro oil warm, so that the tractor won't groan when I'm using it in cold weather. My NH was famous for that, I almost had to let it sit for 20 or more minutes in order to use it without the groaning. Does JD have a heater for this? I see an engine heater, but no transmission heater.

thanks
Chris

You can get a magnetic block heater at Tractor Supply. Its a manet, so you could just stick it on the tranny somewhere. It has a thermostat and everything. Im thinking about getting one. I think they are only $30 - $40 bucks.

I know there is one listed for my 2520. I am thinking about purchasing this one for my tractor.

For the 3320 you're after part number AR94493, which is the heater itself. You'll also need
AR95434 Cord Set, R34557 Clamp and (2) R44302, Self Locking Straps.
I added the Hydro heater to my 4310 and it made a big difference in hydro noise.

Make sure your tranny doesn't have an aluminum casing first.

The dealer is installing one for 65.00. I'm having the engine heater, hydrostatic heater, Rear Work Lights (2), Rear Wiper Blade, and Bubble light installed this week during some maintenance. Should just about use up my available switch holes :)

Own a 4300 HST with approx. 1100hrs and have experienced not only the noise factor but also sluggishness in tractor operation. Decided to opt for purchase of the Hydro Fluid Heater but could not locate any instructions for it's installation or it's recommended operational time limitations, etc. I've heard these heaters will burn the fluid if left on for extended periods, however my intention is to only operate the heater for approx. one hour prior to tractor utilization. Same for the Block Heater I just purchased. Any insight from others would be appreciated. If this Hydro Fluid Heater is in fact installed in the Hydraulic fluid strainer cover as I've heard, where does one attach the harness with the clamp?
