My last post did not go through, so I will try again.
My question to all of you is this.....would you take your John Deere 3120 with 32 hours on it back to the dealer to fix a Input Shaft Seal leak on the hydro. When I first posted this question I thought I was out of warranty, but it looks like it is 24 months so I am still good. My worry is that maybe (Dealer) taking apart my tractor to fix this leak might lead to bigger problems. Tractor is running great so far. Thanks!

I always hate "that depends" answers but...that depends. If it is a very minor leak and would be a major pain to get back to the dealer (I don't know how far away from your dealer you are) then maybe not. But I would really lean toward having the dealer fix it. That what the warranty is for. Usually being pretty careful about your maintenance just makes the equipment last longer. I would most certainly call them up and talk to the service manager about the leak. Who know they may send somebody out to take a look.

Hope the "that depends" helps.

I would take it back. If the leak is minimal, I would wait until near the end of the warranty and then have it fixed. If it gets worse after the warranty expires, then it will be your bill to fix it.

Take it back. if its free let them worry with it.
if you wait and warrenty runs out. it will cost you. ;)

Chris....:)
