Trying to determine if the hydro needs replacement or a rebuild ..if that is done.
I have a hill and the stx38 was shuttering going up the hill..I checked the oil and it was low..added what was required and I think that helped a bit..couldn"t see if the belt was slipping but it is relatively new and I moved the idler to provide more tension but I still seem to have the problem..Is that the symptom of a worn hydro..??
It is like a pulsing..just when the load gets beyond some point. Similar if you had a clutch and
you were pumpimg it..
What else can I try?
Heavier/lighter transmission oil..??
Could the system need bleeding?
