How do you make hyperlinks in a message. Not only the ones that are in blue & look like
this <font color=blue> www.abcd.com <font color=black> The ones that are blue & say <font color=blue> click here<font color=black>. I figured out
how to make them blue, that was a big accomplishment in itself for this dummy.

molerj, since no one else has answered yet, I'll try./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Being a computer dummy, some of the other guys, like Harv, have only recently taught me./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif When you want to put the "whole" link in there (whatever they call the whole link), just type (url) but use [] instead of () around the "url", then type, or copy, the entire url - usually starting with "http" then type (/url) using [] instead of () around the slash and "url" - it'll change colors on its own. Then when you want to do the "click here" thing, type (url=the whole url starting wiht http, etc.) click here (/url) - using brackets of course instead of parentheses.

Thanks Bird, Actually I started this message to you in the off topic forum but changed &
put it here instead. I noticed you used the click here thing alot. Ok, I'll try what you just
told me here goes http://www.tractorbynet.com/ or you can also click here

Well Bird, it looks like you did a good job. Only thing the links didn't turn blue on there own.
That's ok, but I wonder what I did wrong? You may not want to teach me too much, I may
become a real PITA. I would love to get a digital camera for Christmas & learn how to post
pictures.

Thanks Hoss, I have seen some of those long url's & now I understand what you mean.

I haven't tried the other "skins" or backgrounds for quite awhile, so the links change to brown on my screen instead of blue like I get on my e-mail, and of course, I have no idea whether the background color I'm using (orange) has anything to do with that or not.

With this post I think you have moved from the Dummy category to Star computer Nerd /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Not a bad position to be in, considering the knowledge of some of our fellow TBN members./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

molerj,

Your URLs were not blue because you (or your browser) had already been to that URL... If you have noticed in the past, a url will be blue until you click on it. Then, the next time you see that same url, it will no longer be blue. It lets you (the user) know which sites you have already visited... I hope you can follow my convoluted answer...
