Well, it's been nice enough the last several days to actually do something. I've used my new plasma cutter quite a bit. All I can say is unbelievable! It rocks! It rolls! Everything in between! Did I say I like it? It looks like my torch will be used mainly for heating from now on. Now it's time to build a welding table and possibly another grapple and a headache rack for the pickup.

Congrats! It is a very capable machine not just cutting, but gouging as well. It is actually fun using a machine that has good power. ANOTHER grapple? I'm jealous! My last project was making a toothbar- like a Piranha type. Just drew a bunch of M's on some 3/8 and shot through it at a 45 slick as could be. My only gripe on mine was that the ground cable was permanently attached to the unit. I'll have to find a work around...I see this year it is rectified along with a few other upgrades.

I bought one of these a few months back and I totally agree, they are an awesome machine!

Actually I don't have a grapple right now. I built one that was kinda too big for my tractor so it found a new home. Then I built a bolt on bucket grapple for a friend. I need one of my own.

Love my 45xp, though I also did not like the attached ground cable. You can buy small single cable welding connectors at a local welding supplier, or farm store like Tractor Supply. I did that for mine. It stores much more nicely with the cables unhooked and coiled on the wall.

yeah loving my 45XP xmas present!!! :cool2:

Did a little gouging and it was easy. Sure beats grinding. Haven't had a chance to nitpick the ground clamp or anything else. Just having too much fun cutting like butter with a hot knife.

They must have changed that. My ground cable will disconnect.
