My brand new hypro roller pump makes a growling type noise. Kinda like a car or truck thats low on power steering fluid. When you turn the wheel the growls. This is the same kind of noise. The noise goes away as the engine slows down, but speed it up and it growls like crazy.
Its a directly driven pump, 2600 rpm 4101 4 roller Hypro pump. Silver series. (i do have the engine limited to 2500 to avoid over speeding)
Is it normal to growl, groan, whine or whatever youd call that noise is that it makes (like a low power steering level like mentioned)??
I cant find any air leaks in the suction line anywhere, everything is tight and not leaking. It is pumping from a tank, through 7 feet of hose, and the tank is on a trailer, with the pump on the ground so there is plenty of gravity feeding going on.
Help please!?
