Got with a friend of mine who does decals etc. He and I designed a couple of signs for my truck. I wanted magnetic as in the winter I do snowmobile and in the summer I do landscaping. I wanted to be able to change them out. He made them up and they are beautiful. Outstanding job. I could not have been happier until we went to try them on my new truck. Yes, it is aluminum. I forgot.

Hahaha, I can identify with you. I once forgot to remove the two piece PTO shaft from the tractor when I disconnected the bush hog. I never heard it dragging behind the tractor as I put it under the shed. Next time I used it, as I backed out of the shed, the rear of the Mahindra 5035 began rise up as the shaft buried in the ground. That one got my adrenaline going. No damage to the tractor, but the shaft and my pride took a hit. Since your truck has an aluminum body, you might take your design to a wrap business and get them to print you a small vinyl sign. I wouldn't think it would cost much since you already have the art.

I,m surprised there isn,t some steel re-inforcement inside the doors.
Have you gently run a magnet over the door skin to confirm that it is only aluminum under the skin ?

I took them and mounted them on my open trailer. I mounted a piece of plywood and then a thin metal plate along with a couple screws so they do not fly off. My guy will make me lettering for the truck just about as soon as my embarrassment wears off

3M Trim Adhesive works - it's what they use for applying door guards and emblems/logos. Sticky, but non-damaging and can be removed by softening with a hair dryer.

Perhaps make the first sign out of a magnetic panel and trim adhesive that and then in the alternate season, the magnetic sign can stick to the stuck on one.
