Dealer I bought out an old yanmar dealer

I have met a friend who has inherited a 28 hp diesel F22D yanmar tractor, his description. Anyone know where he can get parts, I am going to help him with it, I think. This was made in Japan, has 1300 hours, runs but needs some tlc. He says it is a "Gray market" unit and his father has owned it for about 5 years. Just looking for parts! And Tires.

It just struck me about inheriting a 28hp tractor. The F22 is a 22 pto horsepower making the engine horsepower in the 25-26 horsepower range unless it's been souped up.

Don, it was over 10 years ago that Ernie posted that he bought a Yanmar dealership. In the years since then he has closed it down, shipped the remaining parts inventory to Hoye, then moved to Bermuda. Presumably without taking any Yanmars along. (Ernie - you still read this forum?)

I suggest check with the other dealers mentioned in this thread. Then, start a new thread with a clear and obvious title so someone encountering it in the future who knows the answer is more likely to see your inquiry. Titled something like 'Wanted - Yanmar YM1510D front axle parts'. That is more likely to attract a reply useful to you, compared to posting in a thread about buying a business in 2003.

Good idea. I just tried it but - searching CL on YM1510D found one unit for sale in the entire US (and a couple of expired listings); no parts tractors. Other spellings such as 1510D might hit on something, but I didn't try them.
