Tomorrow I will drive the Yanmar through the little pond, just to get pictures. I'll try to get a video tape if the camera will work.RobJ said:

If I get stuck... then it will be a first. I've got a come-a-long, a riding mower, and a 1 ton Dodge dually (2wd and it will probably get stuck as soon as I drive into the pasture LOL) to rescue me. I really do want to see how much stuff this little Yanmar can go through, should be a good test as long as I can do it without damaging my tractor.
Getting tractors stuck is the one thing I really try to avoid because I hate getting them unstuck again 
I wouldn't get it too deep. Certainly don't go above the bell housing and bottom of the engine.
Water can get into the front 4WD axle and this is not good for it... but Yanmars seem to stand up to everything

I grew up farming in the hills of central Mississippi, never saw anything that big up there, I think there were a few west in the flat delta. But I went to the first tractor pull in the Astrodome back in highschool, probably about 1976 or so. A Steiger was used to pull the sled back, all night long they teased us about pulling the sled with the Steiger. It did, I never forgot that big green monster!! Interesting history on them.

Dont know what model my neighbor has but it is a huge thing. He farms about 6000 acres or so, so he needs something like that. He actually has several big tractors, one is a big ol JD 4WD. Him and his 2 sons have a pretty big operation going. They run a herd of cattle and have a commercial hog operation going. I am so happy that the prevailing winds blow away from the hogs away from us. But when the wind is right..we close all windows...TIGHT!!! A mile and a half is still toooooooo close.
