Paul,
My wedding was fine, but the honeymoon what a nightmare.
4 hour delay at Boston Logan Airport & missed the criuse boat I got sick and we flew back home from Fla.

Like she said " think somebody trying to tell us not to go"...yep. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Month later try again and had blast in New York.

I guess if we all look back now we can /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

actually, Paul, I look back very fondly at the ceremony. Since this wasn't the first for either of us, we felt no obligation to have a ceremony to make it interesting for others (which is the point of the "traditional", right?) and so I made arrangements over the internet, took her to Hawaii, then over to Kauai, got the license, rented a private estate for a week, and mid-week the minister, his wife (who'd been my internet contact and made most of the arrangments, the photographer and a singer came out to our place and we had a wonderful private ceremony on a cliff overlooking the ocean at sunset. Under the palms and with the singer doing all those weepy wedding songs.
Did I miss not having any friends or relations there? Heck no ... it was OUR wedding!

too bad that common sense ain't

Boys, be careful about what you say about the wives. I'm the one dragging my husband around to all the dealerships in the area to decide what I want! My annual bonus is going into this thing. If he behaves, I might let him use it.

On the subject of pointers to get in the good graces of the womenfolk......
Next time YOUR birthday rolls around (especially one of those significant ones), send your mother some flowers to thank her for bringing you into this world. Ought to get you a point or two! (I really shouldn't be doing this.. feel like I'm conspiring with the enemy) /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Man ole man thats twice in one day {not counting work} that the women folks have strongly hinted,so I'm going to sign off before I end up in the woodshed. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Pat,

That is a great idea. When I think of all the things I put my Mother through, I better send lots of flowers. Now that you are on a roll, my wife's birthday is coming up and I was thinking a new bush hog for "our" tractor. What do you think?/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

MarkV,
Probably not a good idea unless she really LIKES the tractor and is involved with planning projects that use a tractor. Better save it for your birthday...not exactly high on a feminine wish list. It MIGHT go over IF you can sell her on how much landscaping/beautification/etc. that you are going to be able to do because of it and involve her in the process, but the odds are that if you buy it for "her", you'd better make sure there's room in the dog house. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
