I decided to go ahead and buy a sub so I could still cut the grass and use my GT235 as a trade in. I first went to the JD dealer and tried out a 2210. Keep in mind, I have never been on a diesel anything before. I was so pleased with it, I wasnt pleased with the dealer though, so off I went to make sure I wanted a JD. I stopped in at Davis Equipment in Ashland, KY to make sure a NH or Kubota wouldnt fit me better. I tried out a TC and TZ 24 and they just werent big enough for me, ergo speaking. On a previous visit the salesman informed me that the BX was to small for me, To say the least I appreciate someone that doesnt try to BS me. I had my heart set on the B7800, but my wallet just wouldnt cooperate. He proceeded to show me the B7510 Turf Special, $10,600, lots cheaper than a JD. Needless to say, It is now parked in my garage, 60 MMM and 48" box blade, the FEL will have to wait. My whole family loves it. My 5 year old knows how to work everything, so now I have to hide the key. He paid more attention to the delivery driver than I did. My wife just finished cutting grass, first time in 8 years.

Congradulations!!! Nice looking rig. Make yourself a deal with the kids are far as coming around when you are running the tractor. They can't come close to you unless you both raise your hands and the tractor is stopped. Otherwise you just never know when they will be there trying to get on.

Oh yes and welcome to TBN

Congratulations and welcome to the fourm!
thcri makes a great point. That mower can really throw some stuff at times, and the kids need to me NO WHERE near it when you're operating.
Sure is a nice looking set up.
Why, that's almost as pretty as my CK20! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif LOL

Great to see a happy tactor welcomed into a new home!

I was surprised to see the tires though...expected that a turf special would have turf tires. Those look like bar tires or R4s. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Good points made above about kids and the tractor. In addition to what was said already, it is a good idea to put implements on the ground when you park the tractor...kids can be real fast sometimes...

WELCOME TO THE FORUM /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif nice looking tractor and 3 nice looking children. question tho! why with 98 acres and 2 in lawn why a box blade and no FEL?

Very nice looking machine, implements, and family. Like Henro said, we strongly recommend lowering the implements to the ground when you shut off the machine. If one of the kids moves the 3-point lever forward, the implement will drop and if a foot or anything is under it, it's sure gonna hurt, and it probably cannot be lifted until the engine is started. Besides that, I just liked to relieve the hydraulic pressure in the cylinders myself. And like Frank said, most of us feel certain you will regret not getting the front end loader. That's one of the most used implements or attachments available. But of course, many of us understand about budgets, too. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Sometimes just can't afford everything we'd really like to have.

Thanks guys, As I said, I am new to the tractor world and appreciate all the advice. I quickly learned that the kids move/push/pull all the levers. I do drop the hitch when not in use.

Kiotijohn, Maybe I should find a nice flowering tree to make my tractor look pretty too, lol

As for the FEL, I had my heart set on one, but I jumped the gun on buying the tractor, didnt have the down payment saved up that I wanted. So I plan on buying one in a couple months. The dealer quote was good day of purchase or later down the road. I made sure of that. Well, I am off for more tractor adventures.

The guys at Davis Equipment in Ashland are really nice guys, and seem to shoot pretty straight. I priced a NH TC40a and a Kubota L3830 there a few weeks ago. When I asked about the machines weight issues, since both are light, they said that using a 6' bush hog on hills causes some problems with both machines.

Thats were i bought my BX2200 at. They have always been honest with me and took care of a few things i didnt think warranty would cover.
