I just have to take a minute to say that I'm pretty pleased with how everyone behaves themselves on this site. My wife is on a few other chat sites, and I visit a few others now and then. Sure we have the occasional heated debate, but it's not nearly as emotional or personal as many of the other sites out there.

I'm happy with how open and accepting TBN members are. I also like that even when someone is contradicted or criticised, they seldom seem to take it too personally.

Thanks to all!

Yep, TBN members are some of the best folks you could find. Maybe that's because our host, the owner of TBN, is good people himself, and expects others to be, also.

What impresses me is all the knowledge and "know how" that is so freely given. I qualify as a village idiot when it comes to tractors and the things I have learned here are amazing. Have understood quality all my life but not function. When one is new to something, function is a good thing to know and here I have learned a lot about how to best use the implements I have and the ones I need.

all I have to say is " We are family". Even if we have different Color tractors; we will help out anyone in need.
I am PROUD to be a part of the FAMILY!

I got spoiled here as this was the first forum I ever belonged to. It did not prepare me well for the "real world" I am still shocked and scared when I see what goes on in other forums.
Here are the most humble souls and most will criticize and put down themselves first before doing it to others.

there are 3-5 boards I frequen. TBN and a Volvo mailing list (SwedishBricks) are the two best behaved of them.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Before our former VP created the Internet :D I used to frequent the dial-up Bulletin Board Systems (BBS), CompuServ, AOL, etc. Then with the internet came Newsgroups - got burned out because of all the flame wars and "me too" posts that amount to wading through a bunch of crap to get any useful info. When forums became mainstream, saw a lot of the same stuff - so would only hit them when doing Internet searches.

This place is like a addiction. Found it doing tractor research and got hooked. Looking at the people I have to deal with everyday in the real world, a very small percentage are people that share the same core values I have and who I could consider friends. This place, while opinions may differ on many things, I find that everyone has most of basic principles of people I would like to be around

This is a great site.
Once in a while we like to test ourselves by discussing motor oil. It's like the Iron Man Competition of civil discussion. :D

When I was new here, I was beaten regularly by one of the moderators (Happy Thanksgiving, Mike!!). Proper decorum is natural for some, learned by others.

I agree with all the posts, but wish to add that the spelling and grammar of most, if not all, TBNers seems to be better than one finds in the general community.

Can't speak too much of other forums because I don't visit any others regularly!
