Tractor
Massey Ferguson 1533
to start one of these. We own 100 acres of land that used to have cows and some fields on it, but have since been planting pines on it for the past 30-40 years. Currently, about 15-20 acres has some 15-20 year old pines and the remainder (minus some gums/oaks here and there) have about 5-7 year old pines.
Had the older pines thinned out and where they loaded the trailers was a clear area littered with debris leftover. A couple buddies and myself started piling up the larger logs/limbs and burning, but it was tedious work that seemed to go nowhere. Our plan was to hire out a guy with equipment to come in for a day or so and get it right, but during the process, we decided on buying a tractor and doing the work ourselves.
Finally decided on a used Massey Ferguson 1533 with 4 in 1 FEL that we found in Craigslist. Came with disc, boxblade and bushhog. After helping spread topsoil at my sister's/BIL's, we got the tractor out to the property late Saturday. Went out yesterday with a buddy and let him show me what the thing could do....that, and he has been operating equipment all his life and we were dodging rain all day. Anyways, first pic or two is from the very beginning. The rest were from yesterday. Not the best pics as the cam lens on my phone is pretty beat up, but I will get some more pics soon enough, hopefully. The ultimate plan for this little area is to get some apple trees there and move on to another project.

The area turned out pretty good. How many hp is the Massey? It looks to be in very good shape.
The side by side and AR look like a lot of fun.

Tractor is 33hp
We had been looking for a ~40hp, but came across a pretty good deal so we jumped on it. I like this tractor as it is a "big body" compared to some of the newer Deeres we looked at. It has a few dings in it (enough to where we don't feel so bad using it and scraping it up a bit :) )
Property is a work in progress. Really only got to work it for about 2 hours yesterday at the most. There is a low area behind the burn pile that we are piling up wood/the little bit of dirt scraped. I'm hoping it will dry enough to burn a good bit of it (hoping rain now is washing dirt down).

A few stumps out there we have to dodge for the moment, but they will be addressed soon (somehow).

And the Rhino/AR pic was just a pose. I'd love to have a gun mounted on the roll-bar, but that'll have to come later :)
