Nice inches of fresh powder snow on a previously plowed dirt road... It was eight miles to the dead end so I knew I had the road to myself. :thumbsup: I left the truck in 2WD, shut off the stabletrak and drove at about 30mph, too slow to lose control, but fast enough to enjoy myself.
I had forgotten how much fun driving can be...

Heck yeah! I'm one of the idiots on the backroads that will kick the truck sideways just to see how long I can do it for! There is a reclaimed strip job that has a township road through it that is perfect for it!

Yeah, I have been known to visit the occasional parking lot in the middle of a snowy night. You have to get there before the plow truck does though.
It is good practice though, remembering the feel of how to steer into the skid, get a fishtail back under control, handle a spinout, etc. At least that is how i like to justify it.

My generation (don't ask!) learned 'slick' driving on the county gravel roads in the winter, mostly deserted and why we didn't total cars is beyond me.
