So we had 2 cords of wood stolen and now a disabled vet and his family won't have heat this winter. So I went around to some firewood place and talked to some loggers and tree service people in our are to see if they would donate 2 season cords and they could get a tax break and do something good. All I got was sorry can't help . So this vet who lost a leg to fight for this country will be cold this winter. But we are proud of our troops. So to the thrives that stole the wood shame on you rot in ****.

Call your local TV station...it can't hurt.

Hello. I'm in Florida. But I have Approximately 10 cords of Hardwood Oak already loaded on a 18ft Trailer. If You can pay for my Fuel Expenses I'll bring the load to you !! I was going to sell it this winter. But the wife has never been to Vt. So I'd like to take her. Dan 863-259-3805. Ocala Fl..

Repo, 10 cords on an 18' trailer?

I like 2lanes idea, get some exposure in the paper or TV, may get 10 years worth of wood in donations and/or find someone who knows who stole it to begin with.

Another member here ,well his mother or grandma, had her wood stolen. I cannot wrap my mind around someone stealing wood, just one lazy, sorry SOB IMO.

How's the firewood market in Florida?

Do NOT bring a load of firewood from Florida to Vermont.
You will be importing pests that are slowly destroying our forests in the Northeast. We have enough problems with caterpillars, wooly algids and keeping them darn Asian longhorn beetles out now.
Best is for someone local to Vermont to donate some wood. I'd bring you about cord and a half I from NH to have if I had a pickup to haul it in.

Stealing a guy's firewood is low. Stealing a vet's is even lower. And stealing a disabled vet's is punishable by taking each piece stolen and beating the thief with it.

I respect YOU for your thoughtfulness and kindness relating to your Fellow Man. I have read reports in some areas of this Country where the Handicaped have even had their Wheelchairs stolen off their front porch.

Great idea... he should end up with more wood than he needs for several years!

In the unlikely event that this doesn't work; check with a nearby log yard. This is a place where they buy logs, clean them up and resell them or use them in their own mills. They generate a lot of ends and may be willing to help out.
