i have a 1210 ford with a belly mower belt wont stay on

Welcome to TractorByNet.. I'm sure your problem is not uncommon. Sounds like the belt tensioner is not doing it's job. Spring may need replacing or a guard is missing to keep it jumping off. You might want to post this in the lawn and garden forum where more ford tractor owners will see it. -kid
