I have a 2003 Deere 4310. I need help diagnosing a starting problem. I turn the ignition, dash lights come on, then it goes blank.It has a new battery

I HAVE A 2003 DEERE 4310. I NEED HELP DIAGNOSING A STARTING PROBLE. I TURN THE IGNITION, DASH LIGHTS COME ON, THEM TURN TO START AND GOES BLANK. I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY, CHECKED THE FUSES AND REPLACED ONE 20 AMP FUSE. BUT DOES THE SAME THING. TRACTOR IS IN NEUTRAL AND PTO IS OFF. THERE WAS A NEST BEHIND THE DASHBOARD AND CLEANED IT OUT. LOOKED FOR FRARED WIRES AND COULDN'T SEE ANY. COULD IT BE A FAULTY FUEL SHUTOFF SOLENOID? WOULD A BAD STARTER MOTOR CAUSE THIS? WOULD APPRECIATE ANY IDEAS.

What else happened, or didn't before you noticed the problem?

Check all of the grounds from the battery to the starter and frame. Both ends. Pull them and clean them, then reseat tightly. Symptoms indicate a loss of power under load which could be a bad ground.

That's when it is handy to have a cheap load tester you can attach at the starter. My bet is a bad connection as well. Did you clean your battery terminals with a cone chaped wire brush?

I'll suggest to clean/tighten battery ground cable where it attaches to tractor frame.
