I have the 2615 but considering a 3616 or 3535

Hello just looking for some advice and have always found great info here . I currently have a 06 2615 I bought new ,that is a fine tractor . But I've acquired more property now and looking to possibly up size my tractor so that I can get more done quicker and not work the heck out of the 2615 . I mostly use my tractor for mowing , skidding logs and B/H work .I'm mowing approximately 7 acres currently with 2615 and its doing fine but just wanting feed back on the pros and cons of the bigger machine . My unit is a gear drive and I really like the ideal of shuttle shift on the bigger mach. I have a lot of woods so maneuvering is somewhat of a concern I don't want to go to big . All in all I'm looking for a good size unit for about 20 acres mixed of pasture and woods . Or should I stick with my 2615 and be happy .. Thanks in advance

We have 10 acres field and woods. Last year we up sized from a Yanmar 155d, 15 hp with a 48" brush cutter to a 3616 shuttle and a 72" brush cutter. The time savings were huge, both a wider cut and a higher speed due to more hp. The down side is a much heavier and wider tractor. I will be widening a lot of the paths in the woods as the new tractor does not quite fit.
The other thing to consider is the smaller tractor with less momentum and less traction/power stopped or dug a hole when I ran into a tree or rock. The larger tractor keeps going and then things bend. 25 years driving the smaller tractor around trees will not make the larger tractor fit, even if It looks like it will.
Bigger bucket with quick change is another reason to go with a 3616. It takes longer to drive to the forks than it does to change from bucket to forks and back.

Thanks for the feedback , size is sure thing for me to consider my 26 gets around fairly easy .But Dang it I cant get visions of shuttle shift and and bigger loader out of my head ...

The shuttle is very fast but I'd keep my 2615 because it really isn't a smaller tractor than either the 3016 or 3616 except for a bit of hp. They all weigh about the same. If you were looking to "size up" lift capability or mower width by about a foot, then get the 3616. Both the 16 series have the same lift stats. If you were going to keep your mower deck, stay with your tractor and invest in a 12' gang mower if you want to speed up cutting. You do not need hp when skidding logs. Traction is king there.
