Some of you regulars may remember I bought my first tractor 2 weeks ago (BX2230 w/FEL and MMM) from Rocky Mount Tractor in Rocky Mount, VA. Kubota had computer issues with their financing program and he delivered it as promised basically on a handshake w/out all the formal approvals. At the time, I thought that was pretty cool, given this day and age, but he's now gone one better.
Last Saturday, I'm out mowing with my new machine (about 6 hours on it), when my front left wheel FALLS OFF!!! Not funny. Quit laughing. Apparently the lug nuts weren't tightened when I got it and they had worked their way loose. Idiot me didn't notice. I found two right beside the wheel and the third about 10 yards away - never found the 4th.
On Monday, I called Wayne and told him what happened. He was immediately apologetic and insisted on coming and picking up the tractor and checking it out 100%. He even replaced the wheel (which had some wear from the loose bolts) and returned it the next day good as new. Of course, everything was no charge as he totally accepted responsibiity for the loose bolts.
Now one can certainly argue it was his responsibility. I think some dealers would have put the blame on me for not noticing. That's not the point. The point is he immediately reacted and fixed the problem, doing what was right for the customer.
He and his Team are a class act and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Virginia area.
