i hydraulic release tool to depress the pin on the male quick disconnect coupling

I have seen the info about releasing pressure with a piece of dowling and will try it
Is there a tool available to depress the centre pin and release the pressure?

Use a brass rod or wood rod and tap with a hammer. Use rag to cover.

On the male QD, I just push real hard on a flat surface.

It would not be too hard fab one up using a vice grip and weld on some metal to grab the QD base and depress the ball.

You can also crack a fitting on the attachment to release the pressure.

Not sure. As I said I was hunting for something myself when I stumbled on this. I didn't call, I was looking for something to connect without making a mess.

That tool reminds me of some valve spring compressors, which might be a starting point idea for making one.

BINGO! we think alike.
Sunday I was at my friends shop looking at his Valve Spring Compressors. The 'old school' compressor for American Engines looks robust enough to modify.
The compressor also appears to have enough Throat to grab past the actual connector if need be
