Great! went out yesterday to clean out the driveway with the light snow we had and WHOOMP SLAM BANG! THE DRIVESHAFT IS ON THE DRIVEWAY!
the universal joint on the quick release end snapped when the splined end on the front came off:confused: There should be a recall or something. After measuring pieces I found I only had about one inch insertion into the front spline:eek: I brought it to a local driveshaft shop and they laughed about how light duty the shaft is. Well the good news is they can fix me up in a couple of days and are going to add some length to the shaft and sleeve it:). Do you guys think it is poor design or poor installation?

Sorry for your misfortune.

Every time I read one of these stories about this blower, I thank god I decided to go with a plow.

There must be some background info that isn't evident from the title of the thread or the explanation.
Is there a link to another thread that gives a little more info? ray66v indicates this is a PTO shaft to a blower.
Glad I have a plow too. :)

Oh, stupid me! the front mounted snowblower for the 2310 TLB drive shaft off the PTO seems to have more than it's share of issues.

I just ran oval shaped rock the size of 2 softballs thru mine, killed the engine dead, didn't even break a shear pin, nothing bent or broken, working fine a few days later.
Figure that out!!!
