I really appreciate and enjoy TBN and its members. What cracked me up tonight as I opened up the 'Today's Posts' were two back to back threads... first titled, "Did I kill my tractor?"... second, "Help me get my rifle back!" Gotta love it!

I admit, it is one of the most entertaining - yet friendly - groups with which I've ever been associated.

My wife calls it "Your Tractor ****" site.....

I've saw several posters show strong affection for their tractors but I think she's goin a bit far calling it ****.

When I retired, I bought myself a Mustang GT as a present to myself. I found a popular Mustang forum and joined it. After a week or so, I'd seen enough of rude, obnoxious and personal attack type posts over trivial stuff. It dawned on me later, that I was probably the oldest person on the forum, thus the "disconnect" I had with that group.

After I bought my first tractor, I joined TBN. What a world of difference on how this group views the world and respects others opinions and equipment. Sure there are disagreements and sometimes people post some pretty derogative comments however it's how as a group, the comments are quickly forgotten and the thread moves forward. I attribute that to maturity.

Back to the Mustang forum, the most heated arguments were V8 vs V6, auto vs manual transmissions and what type of oil to use..... It just never ended

Car sites are the worst...unless you get to the actual racing/motorsports side then a lot of the flaming etc goes away.

I've been a member here for 10 years. A great bunch of people. I think there is something practical and common sense about tractors that draws a practical and common sense member...although I don't think we have too many members who spend all day every day on a tractor and I get that.

But, when I have a problem or question about almost anything I can usually get a quick, no-bs, practical answer with a few differing but equally practical answer here at TBN. Quite remarkable in my opinion. Now, whenever there is a problem, especially something that needs fixing my wife tells me to go ask the 'tractor people'.

Well, just for the record you do not want to ask about gear vs HST here at TBN...............there are certain people that just won't let it go.............I won't mention any names.:laughing:

I have had my post deleted a few times and the tread was locked due to a debate, muhammad stays on top of debates that veer off the tractor topic in a negative way.

Only time someone gets juvenile and makes personal jabs it seems is on garden tractor threads due to brand loyalty and the politics/ emissions thread, garden tractor peeps are the worst lol.

For the most part everyone gets along lol.
