We got about 24 inches of snow and the front snowblower on my B7800 was absolutely fantastic. There is no way I could have cleared the snow without it. I cleared my 600 ft. driveway plus a couple of neighbor's driveways. At times I was moving snow that was higher than the blower and it just chugged along. As long as I didn't push it and let the blower do the work, it moved along nicely. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

I concur. I just got one formy BX and I could never imagine going back to the FEL agian. It turns a 60 minute job using the FEL into a 15 minute pleasure.

A lot of $$ up front BUT the only way to go. I got my blower in 2004 and have not regretted it at all. I have 8 hours of snowblowing fun this winter so far.:cool2:

PT I see a cab in your future.

Rub it in. Only one storm here since I bought it. I'm ready to head to NY just to have some fun with it.

Those that are using the rear mounted snow blower, do you have a manual chute or hydraulic? I was pricing one with a new B3200, but then I would need the rear line added ($600 option). Wasn't sure how much of a pi=ain it is to use a manual chute rotator.

I have a rear mount 3pt snowblower and manual chute on my B7510. The manual chute is not to bad to use, just hard to reach the lever at times but I have it set in a way I do not need to move it much. The biggest pain is driving backwards as I have a 500' driveway. You get to strech all your muscles when you are half twisted trying to look behind you while driving :)! The biggest pita of this setup is when snow blowing at night with no rear lights. I turn my flashers on and pull the lense off them, works out well except for the flashing which is interesting. Hope this helps. I went with the rear mounted snowblower as it is a heck of a lot cheaper than the front mounted one.

I have a rear mount with manual rotation. I like the rear blower so I can still have the FEL. I would not want a front blower and have to loose the FEL. The manual rotation is perfectly comfortable for me on the BX2660. Maybe a different tractor where the seat is higher may not be as comfortable though. When I first looked a buying a blower, I thought I would want/need a hydro rotator. With the added price of setting up the rear hyd hookup, I figured I would first try the manual. Glad I tried the manual first because it works fine for me. Unless you have a need for rear hydro for other uses, I would not recommend adding it for just a chute rotator.
