Yes, always for profit over service/value to the user.

That said and my rant:

If your issue is equipment failure/parts and your title is "looking for help" there's a scant chance it'll ever be seen outside the specific forum here or "today's posts" and it'll surely fade quickly.

No search engine or TBN's will lead others with the same make, model, etc to your posts if you don't relate to what they're looking for with what it is. Include a word you'd put in the search bar, or good luck.
Well, it costs money to run those server farms as well as writing and updating the software so no profit, no service.

In the case of your comments, it seems likely that a tractor question will lead to a tractor forum.
My biggest complaint is that so many "how to" searches lead to mostly Youtube videos. Now maybe that's because that's all there is but I'd personally prefer a written procedure as opposed to a video that's either some jiggly cellphone video with every third word being "uh", or some highly produced one with disco music in the background and maybe 3 minutes of actual content in an 11 minute video.

But that's not a search engine issue per se...it can't find something that isn't there.
That's how search engines tie different words (or images) to other concepts.
And entering the right keywords into a website so search engines can find it is an exercise into itself! 12-15 years ago my wife wanted to create a website for a business she had. Creating a simple copy and paste site was easy enough, but the whole "keywords" procedure so a search would find it was enough to make your head explode. I was never able to make it work very well...if I searched for her business name it'd come right up, but to do a search for the service she provided and area not so well. I suppose a 14 year old kid could've done it in his sleep, but all the web designer-speak was not so easy for a guy (me) in his 60s (at the time).
