I-Match not compatible with all of my implements

I agree... The Quick Tach system is a pretty spiffy thing when used with 3 pt. things like the JD Ballast Box but it is not cool when I have to take it off to use our JD Field Cultivator, 60" Bush Hog, Land Pride Tiller, or Enorossi Sickle Mower. I wonder if it works with any other JD attachments?
Not a big deal to remove it but it would sure be nice if it universally worked with these attachments. With PTO attachments we still need to get off the tractor to hook the PTO up of course but the alignment issues would be gone if it worked universally.

I have a Speeco quick hitch and have made some adjustments to a couple implements so that the width spacing on the bottom links should be right now. I've yet to tackle the spacing between those and the top link on everything. If I can get that figured out, I should be OK.

One thing I did notice is that on everything I have, I'd be better off with the quick hitch being maybe and inch to inch and a half wider to give me the most centered attachment points on my pins. As it stands now, I have about 1/4" margin for error when I would back to anything. I guess I just think that if the object of a quick hitch is to allow you to hook up quickly then giving you the most margin for error in doing so would make sense.

I agree that it's a lot tougher than it ought to be and I still don't know if I'll keep the thing or not. If I figure out the top link spacing deal it would be a nice thing to have and use

The top link seems to always be the determining factor as to whether or not the Quick Tach will work for my attachments. On the Land Pride Tiller I will need to cut off a little of the support frame on the tillers top link connecting point so it will work.(not wide enough to accept the top link hook of the Quick Tach) Not a big thing and I will do that this week end.

Re: I-Match not compatible with all of my implemen

My I-Match has so far worked with my KK 60" Tiller and KK 60" Box Blade. I did need to grind the top link hook on the I-Match a bit as the KK top link was a little to large in diameter. My brother-in-laws no name 60" rotary brush cutter has not worked and will not work with any brand Quick-Hitch without some modification.

Our Enorossi Sickle Bar Mower also does not work with the I-Match Quick Hitch. I see no way of modifying to make it work either. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The attachments that do work with the I-Match make it well worth the purchase price though. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Frontier Equipment on the JD web site says the frontier equipment is I Match compatible (at least everyone I looked at). This won't help if you already own other brands, but it should be considered if you have I Match and are shopping for new attachments that are compatible with it.
