Has anybody switched their Jubilee, NAA, 600 or 800 from a 6V positive ground system to a 12V negative ground system and still have their old 6V generator laying around? I need a generator and the pulley for it as well. I believe the Ford part number for it is FAC10002A. If you would like to part with it email me and let me know how much you want for it. I don't mind if it looks its age and needs a new bearing, bushing, and brushes; just as long as the armature and commutator are good.
Thanks,
Billy

you can buy them new from ytmag for 119$ minus the pulley.. fits 53-64 tractors.. another 40$ for the reg.

post over at yt on the N board and lookup jimncal or jimut.. or ron8n.. all of them part out machines or have parts on the shelf.

I am glad to here you are keeping your tractor 6 volts. I always feel a lot more comfortable buying an old tractor that still starts well on 6 volt. To many folks go with 12 to make up for weak compression and other poor starting issues. You also tend to get way better point life on 6 volts than 12, and most conversions are shodily done.

your last 2 statements go hand in hand.. the shoddy conversion usually leaves out the correct value resistor or correct coil leading to too much primary current.. and degraded points.. etc.
