Loader I need a Loader!!!

Hi guys I have a 08 Jinma Tractor King 254 and I am in need of a loader for it. I am considering building my own loader because of the cost savings, but I have a few questions for the Pro's!!

1. Has anyone built their own loader?

2. Any issues during or after the build?

3. Any tips on building?

4. Any recommendations on buying a new or used loader?

You can get a Koyker 140 loader they are quality units,we have a Korean loader (not cost effective for single unit sale) Coldwater tractor makes a loader that is priced right .Not saying you can't build your own,but when you total it up how much did you save ?

Tommy's right. By the time you add up the cost of all the parts and materials (pins, bushings, hydraulic controls, hoses, cylinders, steel tubing, welding rod/wire, oxy-acetelyene, engineering costs, etc.) you will be miles ahead by purchasing a pre-built unit, or seeing if there is a pre-fab kit out there.

I have gotten quotes on materials and I think you guys are right I could probably save anywhere from $500 to $800 not including building cost such as welding materials and what not plus labor..

Tommy could you send me a quote on a koyker 140 shipped to henderson ky area.

And with all due respect, unless the job looked absolutely professional, it would detract from the value of the tractor. Aesthetics are important. Question: Were you going to have someone engineer it for you, or just leave things to chance?

Besides Tommy several other places you may want to check into are Rural King: I think they were selling several versions of compact loaders for Jinma & Foton tractors. Farm-Pro and perhaps Bolton power & Equipment is closer so shipping might be easier or a drive over to pick up.

I'm only about an hour south of you, and there's an independent tractor & equipment mechanic just down the road from me. Worked half his life repairing mine equipment. Retired some years ago, and fixing farm stuff in a 1 man shop to augment his Social Security. Last time I was in there he had a used loader the right size for your Jinma. Looked to be in pretty good shape. About a four footer, came off a Kubota or a Kioti I think. Pretty sure whatever price he asks will include installation. I can see if it's still there if you'd like (?)
