I am helping install an invisible dog fence for a friend's daughter who has some disabilities that hinder her walking her dogs. The instructions say to twist the wire to make a gate. It doesn't work. Any advice would be appreciated.

So do you not want the dog to get zapped when it goes through the gate? I'm not sure what your objective is. I have a manual for this kind of fencing and can hopefully help but I am a bit confused.

I just installed one of these for our dogs and was having the same issue. I called the company and they informed me that it has to be 10 to 11 twist per foot to work correctly. So I went back and redid it and sure enough it worked. I know it sounds crazy but I guess they knew what they were talking about.

A drill works well to put the twists in,chuck it and pull trigger!
