Hello - I have a Cub Cadet (Yanmar) EX3200. Currently it has industrial tires but I want to switch to turf tires to save my lawn. I have looked hi and low for used rims but there seem to be none out there I am still looking). Also I am looking at other brands but can find no cross-reference chart of hub/bolt pattern chart.
Here's my dilemma/question: I have spoken with a Yanmar dealer and there are turf sized rims available (Part #CY-1A8160-34530)( takes a 13.6x16 R3 tire) but the parts man stated that there will not fit (per Yanmar) due to hub differences. My serial number is in the 1500 range and apparently Yanmar made a switch in the 1700 range to a new style hub.
My question is does anyone know if a new* style rim will fit on an old* style hub; if not, what exactly is the difference? The backside of current rim is flat and has a 6 lug pattern 6.5 lug spacign and a 4" center hole.
The front rims are the same for both turf and industrial but the rears are quite different, there are no turf tires made for my current rims and I need to keep similar diameter due to 4wd.
Lastly, will turf tires 'float' that much better or am I chasing minimal gains. I live in Florida and the 'soil' is very sandy, practically all sand once you get under the grass/weeds. It is used mainly for moving dirt, pulling a bush hog, carrying firewood, little to no mud or hills.
Any help or guidance is appreciated, I would also be up for a trade.
