Well I finally got some time, a few hours, to do some much needed brushhogging. However when I made 3 passes, my seat on my tractor (4940)
made a funny popping sound then attempted to through me off of the tractor. After I stopped I discovered that the mounting plate under the suspension had broke. How frustrating. Anyway has this happened to anyone else.

Similar problem happened to me. (4940) I ended up having Williams Tractor in Stigler put a new suspension and seat on my machine. It made a huge difference in comfort.

OK well I talked to Montana in Springdale and they said this is sort of a common break. They also told me that they made an aluminum block to replace the plastic blocks that broke on me. So I called my local dealer
(williams tractor) and he ordered some blocks.
Any way the only real problem I have with all of this is the fact that my seat beat is attached to the seat(which fell off when the tractor was right side up) what would happen if the tractor was unpside down. Is this a problem Montana should address. What do you guys think? By the way my tractor has less than 90 hours, was purchased less than 13 months ago, and is kept out of the weather when not in use. And this break will probably not be covered by my warranty

This broke on me last summer I replaced all the plastic blocks with the alluminum ones (at my cost) and have not had any more problems.
My biggest gripe is the alluminum blocks do not slide as well in the tracks so the ride is not as good. I try to keep a small amount of greese on them to help. However in my mind the plastic blocks are a safty hazard and they all should be replaced. I weigh less than 200 lbs and my tractor had 50-60 hours on it when they broke i believe
