Tractor
Kubota B7100HSD
Inherited a Kubota B7100HSD this past fall and it is great normally for what I have to do around here. However, I discovered today that the turf tires on it aren’t worth a toot in the mud (and probably not in the snow either). In 4 wheel drive and low gear I couldn’t even make it up my back hill so I had to take the LONG way around. I WANT AG TIRES. I want tires and rims so I can change out every spring and fall. I know I can go to my local Kubota dealer and maybe get what I want. Do any of you guys have any suggestions as to what will work for this tractor and any ideas other than my local dealer?

Thanks in advance, Dennis

No suggestions other than the dealer, but be sure you count the lug nuts on front. The older B7100's had 4 lug nuts and the later version had 6 lug nuts.

I too swap to AG's in the winter. It works great, takes little time, and is somewhat of a ritual that markes the changing of the 2 REAL seasons here in western PA,... 8 months of winter and 3 months of summer (seperated by two weeks of rain in the spring and 2 weeks of raking leaves in the fall). /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I had the same problem with my B7500. I contacted my local dealer and ordered the factory rims and tires. I did not want damaging my 4wd with the wrong size tires. Cost - $700

When I "inherited" my B6100DT it had ag tires all around. My FIL, who gave me the tractor made me promise to "put bigger tires on it because it's "tippy" with the narrow ones".

So, I replaced the rear ag tires with filled turf tires and left the ag tires (also filled) on the front.

I'm up here in the eastern panhandle of WV and have had no problems plowing up to 30" of snow with this set up. When I need traction, I drop into 4WD and the front ag tires kick in with their added grip.

That said, I still have the 7-16 ag tires/rims I took off. They're kind of old but I think they still hold air.

They're the four-hole lug bolt pattern. If you're interested, PM me.

These are the turf tires on the tractor now:

Front - Goodyear 20.5 x 8.0 - 10 mounted on 6 lug rim on a 4.5" B.C.

Rear - Goodyear 29 x 12.50 - 15NHS mounted on 6 lug rim on a 6" B.C.
