Can you imagine pulling anything with a stock Beetle though. All that power could be overwhelming
I do wonder how this would compare, to a 5th wheel for overall weight distribution on the kingpin. Disregarding the fact this could not be done with a pickup due to CG, IF it could, how would it handle vs the weight over just the rear axle...???

1974 VW Beetle specs -- 1641 cc -- 100.1 cu. in. -- 1.6 L -- 46 BHP. Regarding the aerodynamic design, there is still a considerable amount of wind drag on the trailer at normal highway speeds. I, personally, would not depend on the top part of the VW's chassis being capable of withstanding the pressure and force generated by towing the trailer over a period of time. Just my thoughts.
