I really like my new Mahindra. 60 hrs and zero problems. But I find myself wishing it had...

Toolbox
Cupholder
larger fuel tank
1 remote valve
Rear worklight
Quick attach FEL bucket
Telescoping lower links
Headlights that were more usable (FEL in the way)

The fit, finish, and quality seems excellent. Being a Mitsubishi, made in Japan, was the deciding factor in my purchase.

I agree with you bill6. I'm glad my 2615 has a tool box, and a larger fuel tank. I think Mahindra made a mistake in not keeping with the traditional 15 series style. It is more functional for my needs. I guess they thought they had to get sexy with their looks. Frankly, I did not buy another brand due to the location of the fuel tank in the hood.

Interesting assessment. Are these listed in order of importance? :D

Seriously, it made me stop and think about what I like and what I don't like about my (older series) 4110. Definitely no toolbox or cupholder on my older beast, but I've not missed them yet working (right now) so close to home. Ask me again next summer!

I don't even know the capacity of my fuel tank, but I've never run dry or even close. If anything, I tend to worry too much about keeping it full. I tend to spill more diesel fuel than I burn! :)

On the other hand, I wish I had at least two rear remotes... three would be ideal. :) Right now I've got one set and it is normally connected to my backhoe with the lever locked. A second one could be run up front to my new root grapple for cheap $$$ (without disconnecting the backhoe) and also enable me to run a very nice PTO stump grinder I've drooled over (it requires two rear remotes). On the grapple thing, lines are dirt cheap compared to a new electro-mechanical valve.

I've got one rear worklight and I'm adding another on the other side. Why they only give you the one side never made sense to me. Very cheap and easy project... no problem at all to get a nice matching set... but two should have been standard. :)

I've also got a skidsteer type quick disconnect FEL. I wouldn't have bought this tractor otherwise. But do I understand correctly that yours can be fairly easily adapted to skid-steer type?

Funny comment (I thought) on the headlights but I now see that yours sit a bit lower than mine. I guess that could be annoying.

My main regret... beside the missing remotes... is not figuring out a sneaky way to get the 511 backhoe in lieu of the 509. The thing Mahindra could improve the most... besides the missing remotes... is a better quality, much heavier duty FEL bucket. Other than that, I am a very happy man. :)

Lift your floor mat on the left side of your 4110 there should be a tool box in the floor above the step.

Hi Galen - That little hidden compartment is considered a tool box? Well, I'll be darned. I always thought it was a neat, safe little place to stash your wallet, glasses and car keys... maybe a couple clean rags... but tools? It just never hit me. The tool roll I carry on my Harley is larger! :) In fact, much larger!

As a major tool freak, I've got to tell you that I'm not giving up my home tool chests or my truck tool box. :D Just bought a new set of wrenches on Wednesday... goes up to 2" bolt heads. :) Now I can build bridges! :)

On the other hand, tool box or not, that little compartment is quite handy. If that's what Bill meant, now I get his point!

Put a tool box on it like mine.

Nice job! :) That's more like what I thought Bill meant.

It was easy to do and the steel was free. $15 for the box at Lowes.

The ML111 Loader comes in two packages. One Skid Steer and one Pin on. I take it your dealer did not have the skid steer in stock? As for the cup holder... I have found that my 64 oz refill mug has such a wide base that it can sit about anywhere with little chance of tipping over:eek:

My 2615 came with a fuel tank that gives me close to 7 or 8 hours use before needing a drink.

The tiny tool box on mine was replaced with a larger one.

Cupholder was added by me.

Rear work light was added by me.

Headlights were useless with the bucket raised for travel but can't travel unless you raise it.

Added my own driving lights on homemade angle steel cab frame.

I didn't get a quick attach bucket but I removed the four 1" pins on mine and replaced them with 1" pull pins so I can hook up an old 7' truck snowplow blade if needed.

Rear remotes would be nice but I don't have anything that requires that yet.

I suppose the price would be higher if all these things were added or came with the tractor. Putting your own stuff on saves you $$$
