Tires I would like ot convert my 2425 FarmPro from Ag to turf tires

This is a older 4x4 tractor with a FET. 90% of the time I am on a lawn. The rest of the time it is on hard roads.
Does anyone know the best sizes to look for? Can I use 2420 wheels and tires? just trying to be cheap but without busting my 4 wheel drive system.

Usually turf tires, ag tires and construction tires all have different rims sizes on the same tractor. Your best bet is to go to a parts book and find out what sizes were offered from the factory. That info might also be in your owners manual. I could only find Farm Pro tractor models with 4 numbers on TractorData.com - information on all makes and models of tractors. They only listed ag tires on a 2510. If you do want to switch over to turfs there is a way to do it. Maybe someone who knows can tell us about it as I'm not exactly sure on the process. One way that would work is to look at another model/brand of tractor that has the same size tires that you do. See what they use for turf sizes and buy the same size rims/tires for your tractor. Only make sure you get rims that fit your tractors bolt pattern.

IIRC, I think I read somewhere that switching ag/turf tires required a gear change in the transmission... I'd definitely ask Tommy to make sure.
